 I have visited places where silence dominates because of what had happened here all those years ago. All the historic sites have been we'll presented although the stories have been heart wrenching.

I visited the Brandenburg Gate, which is pretty impressive and on to Check Point Charlie. I had previously seen a Christmas shop near the check point and went to look for the only souvenir I  buy - a decoration for my Xmas tree! 

Following my purchase I decided that I knew where I  was  and would walk to the next bus stop. I couldn't have been more wrong and never saw the hop on bus again, apart from in the distance! After walking for what seemed like hours and ending up back where my walk started I decided that I was we'll and truly lost!!! Luckily there was a railway station nearby and, with some help, I finally got back to my hotel. My feet were on fire and steaming by the time I finally sat down!

Today was a slower day! Back on the bus to the store KadeWe  - the largest department store in Europe! I had heard that its food department was pretty impressive and wow was it! As it was my day today I  treated myself!

 I had been looking for a piece of Black Forest Gateaux but this raspberry delight was fresh and yummy!

This store carries over 1000 different cheeses  - I could swoon! You name the food and it was there plus much that I hadn't seen! There were also many restaurants and bars. This place could give Harrods a run for its money!!!

You need to come here with van to collect all the gorgeous delicacies! 

Now I'm  off out for dinner!
